What is the difference between concrete, asphalt, pavement, and cement?
They all seem to refer to the same thing, is it determined based on how each is used on context or are all interchangeable with each other?

How much does cost to pave a driveway with cement? With asphalt?
My driveway is 77 feet long by 12 feet wide. How much would it cost to pave it with cement? How much would it cost to pave it with asphalt? Let me know if you have an answer. I would appreciate it.
does lime damage asphalt or cement or slate?
I am concerned about the lime that I will spread on my grass. I spilled some on my driveway that is partially asphalt and partially concrete/cement. It appears that it may have damaged the asphalt. What will happen when i am actually spreading the lime and some will definitely get onto the asphalt /cement driveway and also my slate walkway? will it damage any of these ?
POLYMER MODIFIED ASPHALT CEMENTS: Characterization of Aged Bitumens for Recycling Purposes
Product Description
This work describes the characterization of aged polymer modified bitumens to evaluate their potential for recycling. A tri-block co-polymer modified binder was selected and characterized using standard bitumen qualification techniques, i.e., the Superpave PG protocol. We developed a procedure to characterize the relative concentration of polymer in asphalt cements by gel permeation chromatography. Infrared spectrographic, thermogravimetric and rheological techniques were used to identify changes in the binder components as a result of aging. A correlation between field aging time and simulated aging by PAV was developed; PAV with humidity proved to be the best prediction. A comparison was established between the field aged materials and a series of lab aged binders. All binders were characterized with respect to their composition and rheological properties. In general, residual polymer was detected using gel permeation chromatography analysis except when extensive oxidative age hardening of the binder had occurred. Recycling of this material will require additives to restore the desired rheological properties to the binder blend.

Your job is to build a network of roadways around San Andreas proper. But San Andreas is rather prone to earthquakes, which have a tendency to destroy the beautiful stretches of pavement you’ve been laying. After all the asphalt is put down, which road crew will end up connecting the most highway in between quakes?

Is there 1 blade for my angle grinder that I can use to cut both asphalt and paver bricks for my walkway?
I am going to be laying a brick paver walkway (not large), and because of the curve pattern I am trying to attain, I will have to cut a few bricks (non-traditional cuts – i.e., not just cutting the bricks in half). The asphalt edge of my driveway will also need to be trimmed as it flares out at the bottom. The bricks will be perfectly flush along the length of my driveway, so I have to cut it perfectly straight down the length of my driveway (about 12 feet).
I have an angle grinder I want to use to cover both of these tasks. Is there 1 blade I can buy for my angle grinder to achieve both of these tasks? I understand that I will be meticulous in measuring and marking my cuts for the bricks and asphalt, but I want to find 1 ‘proven’ blade to do the trick. Thanks in advance!
